Structure, Timing, and Class Program
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a globally recognized exam used for admission into MBA and other graduate business programs. The new GMAT Focus Edition has been redesigned to be shorter, more efficient, and more relevant to today’s business school requirements. It measures critical reasoning, problem-solving, and data analysis skills that are essential for success in competitive business programs. A structured preparation course is key to mastering the GMAT’s adaptive format, building confidence, and achieving a competitive score.
GMAT Focus Edition Structure and Timing
The new GMAT Focus Edition has three sections, all computer-adaptive:
Quantitative Reasoning (45 minutes, 21 questions)
- • Focuses on arithmetic, algebra, and word problems.
- • Tests problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Verbal Reasoning (45 minutes, 23 questions)
- • Includes reading comprehension and critical reasoning (sentence correction has been removed in the new version).
- • Measures logical thinking, argument analysis, and reading skills.
Data Insights (45 minutes, 20 questions)
- • Replaces the old Integrated Reasoning section.
- • Includes data interpretation, multi-source reasoning, and table/graph analysis.
Total Test Time: around 2 hours and 15 minutes (plus short breaks).
The scoring scale now ranges from 205 to 805, making results more straightforward and comparable.
