Structure, Timing, and Class Program
The IELTS Digital Test is the modern version of the world’s most popular English proficiency exam, now delivered on computer in many test centers worldwide. It is accepted by over 11,000 organizations globally, including universities, governments, and employers. The digital format offers faster results, improved test-day experience, and user-friendly tools such as on-screen highlighting and note-taking.
Preparing with a structured course helps students become familiar with the new format, practice test skills effectively, and achieve their desired band score.
IELTS Digital Test Structure and Timing
The IELTS Digital Test measures English proficiency across four sections:
Listening (30 minutes)
- • 4 recordings of conversations and monologues.
- • Tests understanding of main ideas, details, opinions, and purpose.
Reading (60 minutes)
- • 3 passages with 40 questions.
- • Includes multiple-choice, matching, true/false/not given, and summary completion tasks.
Writing (60 minutes)
- • Task 1: Describe visual information (charts, graphs, diagrams, or processes).
- • Task 2: Write an essay responding to an argument or problem.
Speaking (11–14 minutes)
- • Conducted face-to-face with an examiner (in person or via video call).
- • 3 parts: personal questions, long turn (2 minutes on a topic), and discussion.
Total Test Time: around 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The content and scoring remain identical to the paper-based test, but the digital version is more convenient and results are typically available in 3–5 days.
