Career Counseling for High School Students and Parents
Choosing the right academic and career path is one of the most important decisions for students in their final years of high school. Our specialized career counseling program helps students and parents gain clarity, discover strengths, and make informed choices for the future.
Program Structure and Timing
The program consists of 3 sessions, each lasting 90 minutes. Sessions combine professional counseling, psychological testing, and guided exercises.
Target group:
- High school juniors and seniors (3rd & 4th year students)
Parentswho want to support their child in career decision-making
Format: Individual and family sessions
Schedule: Flexible – afternoons or weekends (by agreement)

Our Career Counseling Program
We provide structured guidance for both students and parents through a three-day program:
Day 1: Self-Assessment and Initial Profile
Objective: Understand the student’s personality, interests, and values.
Duration: 90 minutes
Participants: Student + parent (first 30 min), then student only
Program:
- Introductory session with student & parent: goals, expectations, process overview
- Individual conversation with student
- Questionnaires:
- • Interest inventory (RIASEC / Holland)
- • Values questionnaire
- • Psychological assessment (work style, motivation, personality traits)
Self-reflection exercises: Who am I? What drives me?
Outcome: Initial personal profile with collected data for analysis
Day 2: Analysis and Career/Academic Orientation
Objective: Connect results with realistic academic and career pathways.
Duration: 90 minutes
Participants: Students only
Program:
Interpretation of questionnaire results (interactive with student)
Profile development: strengths, challenges, motivation factors
Introduction to professions and fields of study:
- • Classification of careers by interest areas
• Overview of academic programs in North Macedonia and abroad
Career mosaic exercise: select 3 potential study/career directions
Outcome: Individual career profile + 3 recommended pathways
Day 3: Career Plan and Family Decision Session
Objective: Joint decision-making and creation of an action plan.
Duration: 90 minutes
Participants: Student + parent
Program:
Presentation of the student’s profile and conclusions
Map of opportunities: study programs, faculties, professions
Parent-student discussion on expectations, support, and realistic options
Action plan development:
- • What are the next steps?
• How to prepare the student for their choice?
• Additional activities (volunteering, internships, courses)

Individual career report
Recommendations for study/career choice
Action plan for the next 6–12 months
